$20 million senior living community planned at Americana TND in Zachary

Provident Resources Group announced this morning that it plans to build a $20 million senior living community at the Americana development in Zachary, the city’s first TND. The senior community, called Provident Village at Americana, will consist of approximately 100 units, 76 of which will be for assisted living and 24 of which will be reserved for “memory care,” a form of long-term care that meets the needs of those with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other types of memory problems. Level Homes announced in March that it has begun construction on the residential portion of Americana. A model home is currently under construction, with five homes by Level Homes expected to be completed in the next two months. The Pointe, Americana’s community center, is already complete, and the YMCA on site is also up and running. It’s expected to begin construction late this year and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2015. —Staff report
