Which Baton Rouge marketing company is rewarding its best salespeople with trips to Hawaii next year? Which digital tech firm provides limitless snacks for its entire workforce? And which financial organization celebrates the wackiest of holidays, like Spaghetti Day and National Hat Day, and proclaims its own Daiquiri Fridays?
It’s all detailed in Business Report‘s 2015 edition of Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge, the full rankings of which are revealed in the new issue.
Now in its second year, the Best Places to Work Awards program was divided into two categories this year: one for large companies with 250 or more employees, and another for small and mid-sized companies with between 15 and 249 employees. In the large company category, YP Marking Solutions took the top ranking, and the company is also profiled in the new issue. Business Report partners with the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management to present the Best Places to Work Awards. The independent national firm Best Companies Group surveyed companies that chose to participate and ultimately compiled the final rankings. For-profit or nonprofit publicly or privately held entities with a facility in Baton Rouge and a minimum of 15 full- or part-time employees working in the nine-parish Capital Region were eligible to participate. Contract employees were not included in employee surveys or employee counts.
All 50 businesses on this year’s Best Places to Work list were honored Wednesday morning at a breakfast hosted by Business Report.
As part of the special Best Places to Work coverage in the new issue of Business Report, the magazine also asked employees from the top five companies in each category to share their personal stories of moments when they came to truly appreciate the company for which they work. You can also check out a sidebar story on how you can land your dream job with one of the area’s Best Places to Work, and another story on 23 interview questions asked by Best Places to Work Award winners.
