The Walmart Supercenter on O’Neal Lane has completed a million-dollar renovation, converting it into one of the retail giant’s next generation of stores. The O’Neal store, which opened in 1988, is the latest Walmart in the Capital Region to be overhauled, with an expanded electronics department, a party-supplies section, wider aisles and a new interior paint scheme. Some sections of the store were shuffled around during the two-month-long renovation. Walmart has completed similar renovations at its College Drive, Cortana, Baker and Denham Springs supercenters in the past year. A makeover of the Prairieville location is set to begin at the end of the month.
