EisnerAmper: Rooted in Baton Rouge, invested in the Gulf Coast’s future

Sponsored by EisnerAmper

For many in Baton Rouge, Postlethwaite & Netterville (P&N) was more than a name. It stood for trusted relationships, familiar faces, and a team invested in the community it served. Today, as EisnerAmper, that local presence continues to be supported by a broader network of professionals, technology, and services.

“We are still the same people doing the same work with the same clients,” says Laura Soileau, partner in charge of EisnerAmper’s Gulf Coast offices.

For Soileau, the firm’s legacy is rooted in relationships built over time and a commitment to developing local talent. Baton Rouge-based professionals lead firmwide service lines, including Mark Staley in advisory services and Dan Gardiner in outsourcing. Their leadership reflects the firm’s continued investment in local expertise, even as it draws on the resources of a larger organization.

“I think a lot of people thought about P&N in terms of our long-term client relationships, and that is still very important to us,” Soileau says. “Now we can offer some services that we may not have had the structure and the resources to offer in the past.”

That expanded reach allows the firm to serve clients across industries, including government, higher education, healthcare, commercial, banking/financial services, and professional services. With expertise in each sector, its professionals can help organizations navigate challenges specific to their operations.

One area receiving increased attention is artificial intelligence. EisnerAmper helps organizations evaluate how AI may affect their operations, from strategy and implementation to governance and oversight. Continued education and training also help equip the firm’s professionals to guide clients through changing technologies and business needs.

The firm’s local commitment extends beyond client relationships. Partners and employees contribute time and expertise to nonprofit boards, professional associations, and volunteer initiatives throughout the region. Activities range from supporting education and the arts to participating in health-related fundraisers and hands-on service projects.

“Anytime you serve, you grow as much from it, and you get as much out of it as the organizations that you’re supporting,” she says. “We really emphasize the importance of everybody just giving back to the community that’s given so much to us.”

Looking ahead, EisnerAmper plans to keep investing in local talent, developing future leaders, and equipping its professionals with the resources to meet clients’ evolving needs. For Soileau, building on the P&N legacy means preserving the relationships and community commitment that have long defined the firm while using its expanded capabilities to help businesses and organizations across Baton Rouge and the Gulf Coast grow.
