Among commercial contractors in the area, Milton J. Womack Inc. tops the list.
According to Business Report’s latest ranking of Baton Rouge area commercial contractors by the total East Baton Rouge Permit valuation, Milton J. Womack’s projects were valued at $104.5 million in 2017, more than double the valuation of No. 2 contractors Arkel Constructors.
Milton J. Womack, located at 8400 Jefferson Highway, says it had 24 East Baton Rouge Parish permits.
Trailing the top two companies is Deumite Construction, based on Perkins Road, which had 12 EBR permits valued at $22.5 million in 2017.
The Lemoine Company came in at No. 4, with a single permit valuation totalling $20 million, just a few million less than the value of Deumite’s 12 permits.
Rounding out the top five is Cangelosi Ward General Contractors, which had 10 EBR permits valued at $17.8 million in 2017.
