Naming names: Gov.-elect John Bel Edwards says he expects to have most of his cabinet in place before he is sworn into office next week. Though he may name a few department secretaries after his administration takes over leadership of the state Monday, Edwards says the “vast majority” of his top jobs and agency chiefs will be named before then. His latest staff announcements will come at a press conference set for 3 p.m. today at the West Campus Apartments Activity Building on the LSU campus. Among the positions Edwards has yet to announce are secretaries for the health, labor and social services departments.
