LASERS investments up 17.5%

The Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS) reported a 17.5% return during the last six months of 2010. That’s on top of the 16.1% return it posted for the fiscal year ending June 30, which brought the total assets value of LASERS to $7.68 billion. LASERS was listed in the top 13% of public funds in a ranking by the Independent Consultants Cooperative Universe. The ICC Universe includes 170 state and local investment funds.
