At the Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council, old electronics pile up quickly

The Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council refurbishes used computers and other electronic equipment so it can be reused by schools, nonprofit organizations and low-income families. Each year the nonprofit recycles more than 1,000 tons of electronics. The e-scrap organization funds part of its operating expenses with online sales of computer parts, random access memory, high-end desktop computers and other specialty electronics.
