Tuesday — The Ascension Economic Development Corporation will sponsor a procurement workshop from 8-9:30 a.m. in the Gonzales City Room. Wednesday — Gov. Bobby Jindal will speak at the Louisiana Municipal Association’s 34th Annual Mayors’ Day and Legislative Conference, which will be held in Crowne Plaza. Jindal and legislative leaders, such as House Speaker Jim Tucker and Rep. Regina Ashford Barrow, D-Baton Rouge, will address the crowd of mayors and city officials.
Wednesday — A free seminar on “tackling the unexpected” will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Bluebonnet Library. Halaine Guidy deWerff, a professional speaker, will discuss what to do if you lose your job or the economy throws you off the track. May 17 — James S. Fargason, an LSU business law professor, will be the guest speaker at this month’s LSU Executive Education’s Breakfast. The event will be held from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at Café Américain. Registration is $25, but $20 discounts are available. For more information, click here.

May 24 — The fourth annual ACG Louisiana Awards will be held at 6 p.m. in the Hotel InterContinental in New Orleans. Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser will be the keynote speaker. Tickets are $100 for ACG members and $150 for non-members. ACG Louisiana is currently accepting nominations for growth companies, business professionals and noteworthy transactions. May 24-May 25 — The Clean Energy/Clean Technology Incubation Workshop will be held at Crowne Plaza. The event, hosted by the Louisiana Business and Technology Center, Clean Energy Alliance and National Business Incubation Association, will discuss developing and financing clean energy incubators and client companies.
