Communications & Media

Carrie Cliburn has been named associate director of Of Moving Colors Productions. Cliburn will concentrate on grants and communications. She previously was a featured soloist performer for the company and continues to perform this year in the company’s 20th anniversary season.

Financial & Insurance

Tricia W. Borne joined Shaw Capital as controller. Borne will be responsible for managing the accounting and tax function for Shaw Capital and its joint ventures. She has more than 10 years of experience in senior-level financial and operations positions in the private equity industry.

Melody Ritchie has been named as director of business development for The Olivier Group. Ritchie previously was a finance intern for the wealth management firm, and now serves as its first full-time employee. She will oversee client development and marketing for the company.

Robyn Lott joined Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank as senior vice president of marketing. Lott previously served as account supervisor at Graham Group. She will assist with new product development and rollout as well as developing short- and long-term advertising strategies.

Government

Bennett Soulier was appointed secretary of the Louisiana Department of Labor by Gov. Kathleen Blanco. Soulier will serve as the head of the agency for the remainder of her administration. Soulier previously served as the assistant secretary for the Labor Department’s Office of Workforce Development, overseeing a variety of work-force training programs.

Industry

W. Roger Clark joined Labarre Associates as the interim COO of the newly created Real Estate Division. For the past four years, Clark served on the Labarre Associates advisory board. He has more than 20 years of senior-level executive management experience, serving as president of a national mortgage lending corporation and, most recently, COO of a regional financial services company.

Law

James R. Austin has been named Partner in Charge of the Adams and Reese local office. He will be responsible for the overall administration and the 40 attorneys on staff. Austin previously was a partner with the firm’s Banking and Finance and Real Estate Practice Teams in the Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Practice Group.
