An official with Willbros Group, the Houston construction firm that is acquiring the Baton Rouge-based engineering division of Wink Companies, says he does not expect the deal to lead to transfers or cutbacks for Wink’s 200 or so local employees, and says the local management team will stay in place. “Willbros hasn’t had downstream engineering capability, so there’s really no overlap here,” says Peter Brink, vice president of corporate development and strategy with Willbros. Wink provides engineering services for refineries and petrochemical plants. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
