Verizon Wireless will start selling a version of Apple’s iPhone, ending AT&T’s exclusive relationship with Apple. The iPhone 4 will go on sale Feb. 10, with a suggested retail price of $200 for the 16 gig model and $300 for the 32 gig version. A version of the iPhone for Verizon’s network has been long anticipated. Verizon will offer unlimited data use plans.
Analysts expect Verizon to sell anywhere from 5 million to 13 million iPhones this year. Verizon Wireless, the country’s largest wireless carrier, is a joint venture of Verizon Communications Inc. of New York and Vodafone Group PLC of Britain.
