Trey Trahan of Baton Rouge is one of only 22 U.S. architects featured in the new book, Arquitectos Americanos, which recognizes the work of America’s best architects. Trahan’s design of Holy Rosary Church in St. Amant is featured on both the front and back covers of the book and is the only design to earn a spot on the book cover. Others profiled in the book include Pritzker Prize Laureates Frank Gehry, Thom Mayne and Richard Meier and internationally recognized designers Daniel Libeskind and Stephen Holl. Trahan learned of his selection last year and got an advance copy of the book last week. “This is a tremendous honor for our firm, for Holy Rosary and for our state,” Trahan says. “To be recognized with the top names in our profession proves again that we have the talent here in Louisiana to compete on the world stage.” Holy Rosary has received nine national and international awards.
