The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board approved the recommendations of Superintendent John Dilworth and voted to close two elementary schools: Banks and Brookstown. The schools will close at the end of the school year. Students at Banks will be divided among three other elementary schools, while Brookstown students will attend the new Claiborne Elementary, set to open in August.
