Beverly Brooks Thompson has accepted a position with fundraising consulting firm Pursuant Ketchum and will step down as LSU Foundation director of campaigns and strategic initiatives at the end of September. “I adore LSU and hold the LSU Foundation in the highest regard, but [Pursuant Ketchum] has offered me a position that I can’t refuse, and personally it’s a good time for me to spread my wings,” Thompson says.
She says she will serve as vice president of Pursuant consulting, consulting higher education institutions on fundraising endeavors. Though Pursuant Ketchum is based in Dallas, Thompson will remain in Baton Rouge. Thompson is an LSU graduate and has worked at the university for 17 years. Sara Crow, LSU Foundation Director of Foundation Communications, says Thompson submitted her resignation Monday and that discussions about finding a replacement have not begun. —Steve Sanoski
