For the second time in the past few months, a Louisiana-based furniture store chain has moved into an empty location at the Mall of Louisiana. American Factory Direct Furniture is now open in the space that had been occupied by Circuit City. This is the third store for American Factory, which has locations in Mandeville and Long Beach, Miss. American Factory, which opened in 1937, was formerly the New Orleans-based Comeaux Furniture. The Circuit City store, which opened about a year ago, had been vacant since the electronics chain went out of business in January. Lafayette-based Home Furniture recently opened up a location at the mall, in the old Linens ‘N Things building.
