The deadline for filing Louisiana individual income tax returns has been pushed back a day. Returns this year are now due by May 16, since May 15 falls on a Sunday, the Louisiana Department of Revenue says. The deadline for filing federal income tax returns will also be later this year than normal. Because April 15 is Emancipation Day, a holiday observed in the District of Columbia, forms are due this year by April 18.
