The Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System reported a 24.3% return for the 2010-11 fiscal year, its highest fiscal year return. LASERS’ portfolio now tops $9.3 billion. “Investment returns fund the majority of the benefits our members receive,” says system Executive Director Cindy Rougeou. “This is certainly good news in a somewhat volatile economy.”
