Ground was broken today on the Staring Lane Green Light project. The work involves four-laning Staring from Highland Road to Perkins Road and installing sidewalks and a raised median. A bridge across Dawson Creek will also be replaced with two new bridges. The $26.9 million project is set for completion in September 2013. When combined with the ongoing extension of Staring from Highland to Burbank Drive, it will create a link all the way to Interstate 10 at Essen Lane. This is the 28th Green Light project to start.
