St. Tammany Chamber gets five-star accreditation

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has awarded the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce five-star accreditation. The prestigious honor puts the chamber among the top 1% of its peers nationwide. The organization was recognized for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. “Accreditation validates a chamber as having programs that benefit their local economy and for positively influencing action in their community,” says Raymond P. Towle, U.S. Chamber executive director of political affairs and federation relations. “We applaud these organizations for advancing the principles of free enterprise.” The East St. Tammany Chamber was first accredited in 2005, and at the time was awarded three stars. “The success of our Chamber shows the devotion this chamber has for its members,” says CEO Dawn Sharpe-Brackett. “We are very honored to receive this award and to continue to bring success to our region.”
