Six LSU researchers have been named fellows by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the world’s largest scientific organization. LSU ranked in the top 10% of all universities with faculty earning the honor. This year’s honorees are:
Kevin Carman, dean of the College of Science and a biologist; Robin McCarley, a chemist; Saundra McGuire, a chemist; Erwin Poliakoff, a chemist; Frederick Rainey, a biologist; and Edward Seidel, a physicist. The designation is presented to professors for their work in advancing distinguished science applications.
