The Shaw Group has received an arbitration award of nearly $32.5 million related to work done on a U.S. power plant. Shaw did not disclose which specific project was the center of the arbitration case, but says it dealt with construction of a 600-megawatt steam turbine generation plant. Shaw says the arbitration settles liquidated damages, costs and other damages. Earlier this year, Shaw received a $29 million arbitration award from Taiwan Power Co. for work it did on a nuclear power plant.
