The Shaw Group will change its ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange Aug. 21. The Baton Rouge-based company will be listed as “SHAW,” replacing the “SGR” symbol. J.M. “Jim” Bernhard Jr., Shaw’s president and CEO, says in a statement the change will link the stock listing with the company’s identity and help clients better identify the business. Bernhard and Shaw officials will ring the opening bell at the stock exchange on Aug. 21 to mark the change.
