NFL owners and players believe they will have an agreement in place to end the pro football lockout by July 21, according to ESPN reports. People familiar with the talks told the network they think an agreement in principle will be drawn up in the next week to 10 days, a handshake deal that will be ratified and start the 2011 pro football season. If the deal is agreed to by July 21, it would assure that almost all preseason games will be played; however, the Aug. 7 Hall of Fame game between the Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Rams may not be played.
