The Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel is looking for assistance in naming its restaurant. The hotel is holding a contest on Facebook, asking for suggestions to name the hotel’s upscale restaurant, which will specialize in Louisiana and regional cooking. Peter Dunn, general manager of the Renaissance, which is set to open in late September or early October, says the contest is an opportunity to connect with the public before the hotel opens. “We’re looking for something unique and memorable, and the winning name will be the one that best speaks to our upscale atmosphere and our delicious, regional cuisine,” Dunn says. The person who comes up with the winning name will win a weekend stay in the Renaissance, a private dinner for two in the restaurant and a $50 bar tab.” The contest is open through Monday; to submit a nomination, visit facebook.com/RenaissanceBatonRouge.
