Aneurism Outreach Inc. holds its seventh annual fundraising event, “Louisiana Friday Night,” at the Varsity Theatre on Friday. Arrive early to bid on a wide array of items, from trips to pamper packages, while you get down to the tunes of local funkmeisters the Michael Foster Project and Something Blue. All proceeds benefit aneurism research and early screenings for at-risk patients in Louisiana communities. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Visit varsitytheatre.com for more info and advance tickets. But if you’re looking for other opportunities to do good this weekend, there are plenty of chances to have fun and support a good cause: Baton Rouge Green hosts their “Green Paradise” 60s dance-off event at Avoyelles on Friday night; the Youth Oasis House, a children and teen-oriented crisis center, is holding their luau-themed fundraising event Saturday; and you can boogie with the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre at their “Dancin’ in the Streets” event at Perkins Rowe’s Great Hall on Saturday night.
