People who participated in a Real Estate Weekly poll about the Capitol Lofts apartment complex are split on what will happen with the controversial Spanish Town development. Forty-two percent of people who responded to the survey say the project will be built, but after an extensive redesign, while 39% don’t think the complex will be built at all. Thirteen percent say the project will be built pretty much according to current plans and 6% are undecided. More than 100 people participated in the survey. Developer David Slaughter decided to briefly delay bringing the apartment development to the Historic Preservation Commission until further agreements may be reached.
