Half of respondents to a Real Estate Weekly poll say the strongest housing market is in Ascension Parish. Twenty-seven percent of the people who participated in an online survey say the strongest parish for single-family home sales is East Baton Rouge, while 13% selected Livingston Parish and 10% were unsure. Nearly 150 people participated in the survey. Ascension has seen the smallest drop in home sales through the first six months of the year. The Real Estate Weekly poll is not a scientific survey. It reflects the responses of the people who choose to participate.
