You’re alone in the elevator with a billionaire on the hunt for the next great idea on which to dump capital, and you freeze. Help is on the way. Social Entrepreneurs of New Orleans is offering PitchNOLA, an “elevator pitch” competition open to anyone with a private or non-profit venture [or even just an idea for one] that will bring about positive change in the Crescent City. If your entrepreneurial venture is chosen, you will attend a short workshop on effective pitching taught by Launch Pad’s Chris Schultz and faculty from Tulane University’s School of Business. Three weeks later, you’ll make your pitch to an audience and a panel of judges, who will provide feedback and ideas for resources, contacts and connections. Applications are due Aug. 21.
