Weeks after LSU’s baseball team won a national championship, the architects of the new Alex Box Stadium have received an award of their own. The International Interior Design Association has given Grace and Hebert Architects of Baton Rouge the Award of Recognition for Hospitality Design in the Delta Regional Chapter. The group’s Delta Region includes Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. The 9,200-seat stadium—which includes private suites above the main covered grandstand—opened on Feb. 20. LSU drew an NCAA single-season record of 403,056 fans to the stadium, as the Tigers led the nation in attendance for the 14th straight year.
