Sara Downing has been named managing partner of TWRU CPAs & Financial Advisors. Downing started with the firm in 1991 and became a partner in 2002. She specializes in audits, income tax planning and business consultations.
COMMUNICATIONS
Abby Thevenot has joined Zehnder Communications as public relations coordinator. She will coordinate the agency’s internal public relations and social media efforts. Previously, Thevenot served as an intern at Zehnder. She also was an intern with the Academic Distinction Fund, a local nonprofit.
EDUCATION
Dana Hart has been promoted to director of the Flores MBA Program at the E. J. Ourso College of Business. For the past year, he has served as interim director of the program. Hart joined the E. J. Ourso College of Business in 2008 as assistant director of enrollment and student services. His planned initiatives include launching a leadership development program for full-time MBA students this fall. It will provide a foundation for students to foster a personal leadership strategy rooted in their professional and career development.
HEALTH CARE
Robinne Harris-Dodd has joined St. Joseph Hospice as vice president of operations throughout southeast Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and southern Alabama. She has more than 30 years of health care management experience in long-term care, home health and hospice. Harris-Dodd is a certified hospice and palliative nurse in addition to being a registered nurse.
MEDIA
Kevin Burke has rejoined the OUTFRONT Media Sports team as director of sales for LSU Sports Properties. Burke rejoins the LSUSP team having previously worked at the property from 2005-2007. Prior to coming back to LSU, Burke worked as vice president of Rockbridge Sports, general manager of CSS Sports Properties in Atlanta and in sales for the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Hornets. Additionally, Kevin Wagner has joined LSU Sports Properties as senior account executive. Prior to joining the organization, Wagner worked at Virginia Sports Properties—an OUTFRONT Media Sports company—in a similar role. Wagner’s previous stops include the Charlotte Checkers Hockey Club of the American Hockey League and Harlem Globetrotters International, where responsibilities included season, group and suite ticket sales.
REAL ESTATE
Lance Ginn has joined Waters & Pettit Commercial Real Estate. He previously served as an intern for CenturyLink. While at LSU, Ginn served in the office of Gov. Bobby Jindal, where he participated in campaign fundraising and coordinated meetings with state officials and business owners, and he worked as a business intern for the LSU Carroll L. Herring Fire and Emergency Institute. Ginn is working toward his Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.
