U.S. Sen. David Vitter has been actively engaged in state politics over the past few months, contributing his input in a variety of races. Vitter is even moving in to oppose some fellow Republicans, including incumbents, and settling some personal scores. “One has to ask: What’s in it for him?” says John Maginnis. “Perhaps he wants to be governor or, more ambitious than that, like Sen.
