Caroline Fayard and Gov. Bobby Jindal were billed as fresh political figures who would rise above the partisan mudslinging and excesses of the past. But John Maginnis says both made offensive moves in recent weeks, with Fayard saying she hated Republicans and Jindal attending a fundraiser hosted by the owner of a company that had processed claims for BP during the Gulf oil spill. Democrats have called on Jindal to apologize and give back the money, but that “stands about as much chance as Fayard having a beer with David Vitter,” Maginnis says. Read the full column here.
