LUBA Workers’ Comp has expanded its coverage into Oklahoma, Tennessee and Alabama, meaning the company will now write worker’s compensation insurance in seven states.

Currently, the Baton Rouge-based insurance company writes through a network of independent agencies in Louisiana (where it’s the second-largest writer of workers’ comp), Mississippi (where it’s the fourth-largest), Arkansas and Texas.

In a prepared statement, LUBA CEO David Bondy, who founded the company in 1991, says that his team will continue to build upon its years of growth through the recent expansion of coverage.

“We’ve seen steady growth in new markets thanks to our long-standing relationships with independent agents,” Bondy says. “The success we’ve had in partnership with them has been very rewarding.”

LUBA insures over 196,000 workers across 4,000 policies with more than $80 million in direct written premiums.
