The MBA program at LSU’s E.J. Ourso College of Business has been ranked as the 26th best at a public university by Forbes magazine and the 55th best overall. Forbes based the ranking on the return on investment graduates achieved after five years. According to the magazine, graduates of the class of 2004 had a pre-MBA salary of $30,000, but were earning $78,000 annually by 2008. Stanford ranked first; the median salary was $82,000 before entering the MBA program, but graduates were earning $225,000 a year five years later. Eli Jones, dean of the LSU business school, noted that the Flores MBA program wasn’t ranked in 2007, the last time Forbes did the analysis. That’s additional validation the school is on right path to national prominence, Jones says. Tulane’s MBA program was ranked 52nd. Read the full list here.
