Louisiana Culinary Institute alum Colt Patin has been making quite a name for himself in the television world. His cookery was featured this week on a “Cajun country” episode of the hit Travel Channel show No Reservations, featuring Anthony Bourdain. In the episode, Patin helped prepare a proper Cajun crawfish boil for the celeb chef and author. Two weeks after that shoot concluded, he was asked to help prepare a second crawfish boil for another popular Travel Channel show, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. This time, Patin also prepared a whole stuffed alligator to raise the “bizarre” bar. These excursions weren’t Patin’s first brush with fame: As executive chef at Crawfish Town USA in Breaux Bridge, he authored a cookbook, was named one of five top “Chefs to Watch” in Louisiana by Louisiana Cookin’ magazine, and cooked for the season finale of popular Louisiana-centric show Swamp People. Keep your eyes peeled for more of Patin. For more foodie news, check out 225 Dine here.
