A pre-election poll done for the Republican Party shows Gov. Bobby Jindal’s popularity has rebounded from last year’s dip and that neither mentioned opponent has cracked double digits. The trial heat question showed Jindal at 58.5%; Sen. Rob Marionneaux with 8.4%; Tara Hollis with 6.2%; undecided with 27%. Southern Media pollster Bernie Pinsonat reasons that a good portion of the undecided won’t vote, which could push Jindal into the 60s. The poll was conducted in the past week, when Jindal’s TV ads dominated the airwaves. “The bump in the road last year is behind him,” says Pinsonat of Jindal’s four-year low of 55% favorability in November. In this survey, Jindal scored 63% favorable.
