A vacant tract of land located at the intersection of Siegen Lane and Cloverland Avenue, in front of the Bristol Place Apartments, has been sold for $3 million.

According to sale documents filed today with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court, the buyer is a newly-created limited liability company called Crawfish BR Properties and appears connected to the Rooms To Go company.

Signing the sales documents for Crawfish BR, which has a mailing address in Atlanta, is Jeffrey H. Finkel, who is identified as vice president. Finkel is senior vice president of Rooms To Go in its Atlanta offices, according to his LinkedIn account.

Also pointing to a Rooms To Go connection is Crawfish BR’s registration with the Louisiana Secretary of State. Among a number of addresses connected with the LLC is the same Florida address as Rooms To Go’s national headquarters.

Rooms To Go currently leases its nearby store at 6750 Siegen Lane, according to Austin Earhart of Beau Box Commercial Real Estate, who is marketing the property for lease or sale. It is unclear if or when Rooms To Go plans to vacate the space.

The seller in today’s land deal is Bristol Holdings LLC, whose authorized representatives are Arthur and Richard Metrailer. Attempts to reach a number of realtors who represented the buyers were unsuccessful as of this afternoon’s deadline.
