Construction for the new restaurant is expected to begin mid-2019 and the Wendy’s is expected to open by early 2020. The restaurant will be 3,000 square feet and employ around 20 people.

Haza owns 74 Wendy’s in Louisiana, mostly in the Lake Charles, New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas, according to Wachaa.

During the summer, Whataburger also purchased land near the Lee and Burbank intersection, and Atomic Burger, Dat Dog and Sombrero’s are also set to soon open in the development.
