Veteran banker Kyle Waters is set to return as president of Omni Bank. Waters, who retired in June as a senior vice president with Capital One Bank in New Orleans, will lead Omni’s 16 Louisiana locations, including operations in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Before returning to his native New Orleans in 2001, Waters was a senior vice president then president of Hibernia National Bank’s (now Capital One’s) Baton Rouge operations. During that 16-year period, Waters not only led Hibernia from third to first in terms of deposit market share in Baton Rouge, but he served on leadership roles with several organizations, including Woman’s Hospital, Baton Rouge Area Chamber and United Way. Jim Hudson, Omni Bank chairman and CEO, says Waters’ unique knowledge of the market “will almost certainly make Omni Bank a force in banking in Baton Rouge.”
