Kleinpeter Farms Dairy now is selling its milk and ice cream in central Louisiana. Kleinpeter products are now being sold grocery stores in Alexandria and Marksville, the first time the dairy has left the Interstate 10/12 corridor. Jeff Kleinpeter says the dairy has been looking to enter the Cenla market for years, and the addition of ice cream made the move easier. Kleinpeter plans to set up a central Louisiana substation to improve delivery of fresh dairy products easier and will hire six employees in the area over the next six months.
