Gov. Bobby Jindal and his wife, Supriya, have closed on the University Club home they intend to move into after the governor’s term ends early next year for $817,500.
The Jindals purchased the home on Audubon Lakes Drive from Traditions LLC, according to land records filed today with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court. The sale closed on Friday.
Traditions LLC is owned by homebuilder Jackie Braud and her husband, Ted Braud, who own residential construction company Traditions by Design, which built the custom home for the Jindals and their three children.
Daily Report was the first to report on the Jindals’ plan to move to University Club back in August. At that time, a spokesman for the governor confirmed Jindal was building a “family home” in University Club, but would not provide additional details.
“It’s a beautiful large lot,” Jackie Braud said in August of the Jindals’ future home. “It’s near the golf course overlooking the lake with woods behind it, so the children will have a wonderful area to play.”
Braud also confirmed the Jindal home will be near that of LSU President F. King Alexander.
