You might want to stay off Interstate 10 west on your ride home today, if you can. Although Interstate 10 westbound at the I-10/I-110 split in Baton Rouge was just opening up at around 3:30 this afternoon—having closed before 11 a.m. today due to an overturned tractor trailer—traffic congestion was reportedly still backed up to Acadian Thruway due to the closure. There have been no reports of any injuries in the accident. Authorities say the truck was not carrying any chemicals, but did say earlier today that cleaning up the site and reopening the interstate would take hours.
