The Hotel Indigo, downtown’s newest hotel, is preparing to open Feb. 17. Hotel officials announced the opening date today, and attendees at the Downtown Development District meeting got a tour of the property. The 93-room hotel is located at the corner of Convention and Lafayette streets. Hotel Indigo will employ between 50 and 60 people. The property had been the Hotel King before a $25 million renovation that started in September 2009. —David Jacobs
