The Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors has purchased a vacant lot adjacent to its headquarters at 14101 Perkins Road.
GBRAR Communications Director Saiward Pharr Hromadka says GBRAR will eventually use the roughly 27,000-square-foot lot for additional parking and signage, in addition to improving access to its offices. Hromadka adds the organization, which represents Realtors and tracks housing data in the eight-parish region, isn’t rushing any development of the site.
“We will be developing plans for signage, parking and pedestrian access to our current location in the next year or so,” she says in an email to Daily Report.
GBRAR purchased the land from Banana Republic Investments LLC, whose authorized manager is David Mathies. The deal closed on Monday. GBRAR has been located at its offices on Perkins Road, situated between Siegen and Pecue lanes, for about the past five years.
