To close out “Blue Dogs and Cajuns on the River: George Rodrigue from the New Orleans Museum of Art and Other Collections,” The LSU Museum of Art will host a “Cajun Finale” featuring Rodrigue on Saturday. Cajun music, dance lessons, expert storytellers, a book signing and children’s art lessons with Rodrigue are all planned. Events will be held from 2-5 p.m. A full schedule is available here. The Rodrigue exhibition features more than 70 original paintings illustrating the progression of the artist during his 40-year career. “Blue Dogs and Cajuns on the River” will conclude its run at the LSU Museum of Art at the Shaw Center downtown on Sunday.
