Board members plan to begin a “silent” campaign in early March to raise money for the proposed Knock Knock Children’s Museum in City Park. Chairwoman Kelli Stevens says organizers will be talking to donors and hope to raise as much of the estimated $15 million cost as possible this year before considering a more public campaign in 2010. “To run a traditional capital campaign, an awful lot of the money is raised before you get to that point,” Stevens says. Hurricane Gustav helped postpone the campaign’s start. For a look at some of the early design ideas of the museum, read the Business Report story here.—David Jacobs
