Exactly one year after opening at 7474 Corporate Blvd. near Town Center, Fresh Kitchen is launching a second location in The Village at Willow Grove. At 600 square feet, the new store is half the size of the original but will specialize in selling the same fresh, healthy, prepared meals.
Ryan McNeil, who co-owns Fresh Kitchen with chef Daniel Dreher, says opening a second location has always been part of their business plan and that they eventually hope to open two more locations. Business has grown steadily at the Corporate Boulevard storefront, but to be profitable, McNeil says the eatery needs several locations moving quantity.
McNeil expects the customer demographic at the new store to be similar to that at the Corporate Boulevard location—a mixture of young professionals, college students and empty nesters.
“I think we’ll pull a lot from Willow Grove and also the surrounding neighborhoods,” he says. “It’s a great location and has a cool little feel to it.”
Fresh Kitchen is the latest of several retail tenants to open in The Village at Willow Grove, the commercial development at the Perkins Road traditional neighborhood development known as Willow Grove. Other recent additions include Evolve Studio, Two Blondes, Giggles and POSH boutique. Bistro Byronz opened a second location there in 2014.
Fresh Kitchen will open Monday.
