Former banker named head of Southern small biz development center

Will M. Campbell Jr. has been named director of Southern University’s Louisiana Small Business Development Center. Campbell is a former manager for Liberty Bank’s regional offices in Baton Rouge and Opelousas. He also worked as a manager for Bank One and Wells Fargo Financial. Campbell says the development center, which provides free or low-cost guidance to small business owners, plans to step up its efforts to help companies in the Capital Region. “We want to make sure the community understands that we are here to help them,” Campbell says. “We are really passionate about helping the community, and this will be a great partnership with Southern University.”
