Power provider Entergy Corp.’s second-quarter profit was virtually unchanged from a year ago but still exceeded analysts’ forecasts. For the three months ending June 30, Entergy earned $315.6 million, or $1.76 per share, compared with year-ago earnings in the second quarter of $315.3 million, or $1.65 per share. Revenue fell slightly to $2.8 billion from $2.9 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast per-share revenue of $1.65 per share on revenue of $2.9 billion for the latest quarter.
